Merry Meet!

I’m Ruby—spiritual guide, writer, and founder of Ruby Moon Guide. I’ve been a practitioner of earth-based spirituality for over 20 years and I follow an eclectic path. I use tools such as tarot, guided meditation, and ritual to help people reconnect with their intuition, subconscious, and highest self. My goal is that they may discover and unblock pathways toward personal empowerment, and in doing so they will create ripples of compassion and enlightenment that will benefit the world.

My work is for people of all backgrounds—including those who do not practice mysticism. Spirituality is about connection and meaning, and that is for everyone.

My Story

I believe it is my calling to help make the world a better place. But for most of my life, I struggled with my own suffering and lack of purpose that was caused by chronic illness, trauma, lack of support, religious oppression, and other systemic issues. Misery was deeply rooted inside of me—impacting my ability to interact with the world, see my potential, and live in alignment with my values.

Over time, I began to lean into my longing for a more spiritual life. This was a struggle due to my own misconception that spirituality and skepticism were at odds with each other, and yet both of these concepts were innate components to my sense of self. Thankfully due to the wisdom and teachings of others, I was eventually able to reconcile these two seemingly distinct parts of me, which led to transformational healing.

Through this journey I broke many negative cycles, gaining insight and tools that not only helped me but also became valuable in supporting others. I also realized I had a gift: one where I could hold space, offer guidance, and provide resources for people who were struggling like I was. This gift is how I choose to bring my light into the world.

My Site

The name Ruby Moon Guide reflects my journey—Ruby is my birth name and represents passion, and Moon speaks to intuition, mystery, and transformation. The symbolism of night and the moon resonates with me on a personal level, but it also reflects the focus of my work—to illuminate that which is hidden so that we may connect with our deepest selves.

This site is my way of sharing what I’ve learned. I write about spirituality, healing, and personal growth to make these practices more accessible—especially for those recovering from rigid or harmful belief systems. I grew up in a high-control, patriarchal religion, and my healing journey has taught me that due to these environments spirituality is largely misunderstood. I believe spirituality is not just a practice; it is a human right. In order for people to fill this need, it must be demystified. My goal is to help others open doorways towards self-knowing.

Why I Do This Work

It is my opinion that the human need for spirituality has been exploited by predatory individuals and institutions for much of human history. This imbalance has led to immense suffering and loss of lives. It is an injustice for human beings and their potential to be abused in such a way. Therefore, it is critical for all people to be given the proper tools and guidance so they may be empowered to explore their spiritual selves without falling prey to hierarchical systems of oppression.

I don’t claim to have all the answers. But I offer what I’ve found helpful in hopes that it supports your growth, healing, and empowerment. It is my honor to be a spiritual companion for those in need.
