I am a spiritual guide and writer who has been a practitioner of earth-based spirituality for 20 years and follows an eclectic path. I offer services for people of all backgrounds, including those who do not practice mysticism (spirituality is about connection and meaning, and that is for everyone). I use tools such as tarot, guided meditations, rituals, and other spiritual exercises to help others connect to their subconscious, intuition, and highest self. My goal is that they may discover and unblock pathways toward personal empowerment, and in doing so they will continue to create ripples of compassion and enlightenment that will benefit the world.
I started this site because I believe it is my calling to help make the world a better place. But for most of my life I struggled with my own suffering, illness, and lack of purpose, and therefore my ability to engage with others and embrace my potential was limited. I didn’t know where I fit; I didn’t feel that I belonged. Slowly I embraced my longing to live a spiritual life instead of running from it, and I began to heal and gain wisdom that would later benefit others. I realized that I had a gift for holding space for others, sharing useful information, and being a source of support for those in need. This is how I choose to bring my light into the world.
How was the name Ruby Moon Guide inspired? Ruby is my birth name, and Moon represents my connection to night, mystery, and the cycles of nature, while also explaining the theme of my work. For many people and cultures, the Moon represents things that are hidden, such as the subconscious, as well as female empowerment, intuition, transformation, and illumination. I am in awe of the power of creation and the ability of human beings to transform themselves into grander versions of themselves than they ever thought possible. I am grateful when I get to take part in helping others see their potential so that they can embrace their journey. The title of this site reflects my relationship with my spirituality and how I connect with others.
Currently, Ruby Moon Guide is a blog where I share my insights on spirituality, personal growth, and healing in order to make embracing a spiritual practice more accessible to all. I grew up in a patriarchal, high-control, mainstream religion that caused much damage to my well-being. Leaving such an environment can be liberating, but it may also lead to much confusion about one’s identity, purpose, and what they should believe. I have spent years recovering from how religious oppression has negatively impacted me and re-learning what it means to “be spiritual.” My path has not been linear, but rather an ebb and flow of exploration, with many difficulties experienced along the way. Due to this journey, I deeply believe that spirituality is a human need and therefore a human right. I want to extend my knowledge and experience to help undo the damage that disconnection has caused humanity.
It is my opinion that the human need for spirituality has been exploited by predatory individuals and institutions for much of human history. This imbalance has led to much suffering and loss of lives. It is an injustice for human beings and their potential to be abused in such a way. Therefore, it is critical for all people to be given the proper tools and guidance so they may be empowered to explore their spiritual selves without falling prey to hierarchical systems of oppression. I do not have all the answers, but I do know what has helped me and I hope what I have to share will be used to to improve the spiritual well being of others. Through my writings you can find more about my perspective on what it means to “be spiritual,” how to embrace your true self, and how to live a fulfilling life that benefits the world.
This website is the vessel so that I can be of service to humanity. It is my hope that through sharing what I know that you may see how sacred you truly are. No being is more spiritual than any other; it is your human right to live a spiritual life. I am excited to aid you on this journey.
With love and light,
Ruby
